Man Found Shot To Death In Fairfield County Home, Police Say

Police are investigating after a man was found dead from gunshot wounds inside a Fairfield County home when officers responded to a disturbance call.

The incident took place around 11:50 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 20 at a home located at 16 Nelson Ave., in Norwalk.

According to Lt. Terrence Blake, of the Norwalk Police, the man was found dead from gunshot wounds after officers responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next-of-kin.

Patrol Division officers detained a person of interest at the scene, Blake said.

Norwalk Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are actively investigating the incident.

"This is an isolated crime and there is no danger to the public," Blake said.
